Note - Proper dilution is important when using oils with babies & children- we love the Gentle Babies book for more info.

FAVORITE ROLLERS FOR LITTLES

Immune Boost –

Add your drops of Thieves, plus 1-2 drops of Frankincense then top with carrier oil. We use this roller before and after school on the bottom’s of little feet, when we are traveling, along the spine to support the immune system. Make this first!

Stress Away Roller –

Kid’s need a Stress Away roller too! Stress Away is very gentle, just add some drops and top with carrier oil. Roll on spines, behind ears or on their chest.

Breathe Easy –

Raven + Lemon topped with carrier oil. Apply to chest, back and throat.

Raven is not recommended for ages under 6.

For kiddos under 6 years, sub Raven for KidScent’s Snifflease or Purification.

Ouch-be-Gone –

Copaiba + Lavender, topped with carrier oil.

Rub along the jaw of little ones getting tiny teeth, also great for boo boos!

You can also sub Frankincense for Copaiba for all things skin.

(As a note, Copaiba is safe to apply neat (un-diluted) to gums when teething babies are especially uncomfortable, you may add orange eo for flavor

Limit topical use to 10 days on, 10 days off.

Tummy Trouble –

Digize, topped with carrier oil. Rub this on clock-wise around the belly button after eating too much or for when you are feeling yucky.

We also LOVE Kidscents Tummygize – we just pop a roller top right on the bottle.

Liquid Calm Roller –

Lavender + Frankincense topped with carrier oil.

Great for witching hour, bedtime, or anytime really!

Roll on spine and feet before bed, then cover feet with socks.

INTRODUCING OILS

There are a few ways to introduce oils to babies & kids. A few I’d recommend:

+ Take a drop of Lavender, rub it between your hands then rub your hands on baby’s crib sheets, blankies, favorite stuffies, etc.

+ Wear the oils. As their mama, you’ll be snuggling them quite often, apply a little oil to your forearms or chest and let baby get used to it in a comfortable space.

+ Make a linen spray. In a 4oz amber glass spray bottle, add a tsp of witch hazel then add 10-15 drops of Lavender essential oil, (or split it and add 7 drops each of Frankincense & Lavender). Top the bottle with water, shake & spritz bedsheets or even mist yourself.

+ Diffuse in increments. If diffusing at bedtime, diffuse for 20-30 minutes before bed then turn off the diffuser. I wouldn’t recommend shutting the door with a running diffuser until the child is older or you know how they respond. Babies systems are more delicate than an adults.

+ Put a splotch of coconut oil in your hand and mix in one drop of essential oil – massage into bottoms of feet then cover with socks.

REFLEXOLOGY FOR LITTLES

When applying oils topically, especially to the feet, we can use what we know about the nervous system to target specific areas of concern. Your baby/little ones foot is divided into zone. By applying gentle pressure to certain areas, you will be able to soothe and comfort--providing relief from discomforts, while bonding with your little sweetheart.  I love being able to do this even for little ones, by gently applying pressure to the areas they need support.

Additionally, you can use corresponding oils to further enhance the therapeutic benefits.

Sinuses • Spearmint, or Lemon.
Brain • Frankincense
Head/Teeth • Frankincense, Lavender, Roman Chamomile, Copaiba
Lung Support • Cedarwood, Lime, Frankincense
Solar Plexus • Cardamom, Lavender, Marjoram
Upper Abdominal • Spearmint, Ginger, Fennel, Digize / Tummygize
Lower Abdominal • Orange, Digize / Tummygize, Melaleuca
Pelvis • Lavender, Copaiba
Spine • Frankincense, Thieves

Always dilute oils with 1 drops EO per tablespoon carrier oil.

Then gently apply and use soft pressure to rub into the tissue in desired location.
